adventures in juicing 11.5.12

I have received messages about my adventures in juicing and I thought that I would address these questions and post pics of my latest juicing

Juicing can be cheap, or it can be expensive, depending upon how you go about it. In our area, we are lucky enough to have produce stands that sell local veggies/fruits and they are incredibly cheap! Just google to see if you have any in your area, and I promise that if you do that, you will no longer buy such things in the store, because they are simply better and have a better quality than anything you can buy at the store!

My favorite juicer? Hamiton beach health smart 350 $40 bucks! pretty cheap if you look at the prices online. It's fantastic!! It does a great job! Check it out!

proteins-I normally put soy protein in at least one of my shakes per day and I also put milk in at least one of my shakes. I need the additional calcium :)

tummy aches? Try ginger in your drinks :) It helps so much with swelling too!

I tag team my juicer with a blender to add ice and things like pine apples that merely smush in a juicer. try it. You'll love it!

This mornings big juice

10/22/12 adventures in juicing

this morning I decided to make what is called "veggie patch"

1/4 head of cabbage
2 celery stalks
1 apple (granny smith)
1/8" (I used thumbnail size ginger)
small amount of lemon for sweetness

I was surprised at how good it tastes. I was thinking that it would taste all nasty since it was green....but it didn't. I did notice that it wasn't my required amount to take in, so I added V8 to make it the ounces I needed......it was soooooooooo good after I added that. I mean yuuuuuuummmmoooo

if you have the chance to make it....juice it and go!
